Heads or Tails Tuesday *Halloweeni-ish*

One of my favorite bloggers, Skittles has started a Tuesday meme. It is LOTS of fun-so you'll wanna join us right away! If you click on the Heads or Tails logo - it will take you to the post to tell you more about the meme.

This week's topic is "Spooky, Scary, Halloween-ish".

It's story time again, cuz you know me, I sure like to tell a story :-)

There is a cemetery down the road from where we live. My aunt-in-law also has a farm down the road, past the cemetery. Also, the same Aunt (Aunt P) is responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery, so she always takes note of how it looks, makes sure the gate is closed, etc.

One summer day, Aunt P was driving down this road, heading to her farm. She noticed that the minister of one of the local churches was driving up ahead.

As she approached the cemetery, she turned to do a quick appraisal of whether the lawn was mowed and gate shut, when she saw someone standing in the ditch. Normally, she wouldn't have thought anything about this, except this person was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, and it was a very hot summer day. As she slowed and drove past him, he turned and looked in her direction. Right then, she knew that something was very strange, because when he turned, she didn't see any face under the hood.

She drove up the road until she found somewhere to turn around and went back to find this person to see what was going on. However, there was no one to be found. She looked all around the area where she had first seen him, but there were no signs of anyone ever being there. She couldn't figure out where this person had come from, because not only was he not dressed for the season, there were no houses in that vicinity and no vehicles were anywhere close, other than the minister, when she drove by.

A few days later, she was at a function for the church, and she pulled the minister aside. She asked him if he had seen that person and he confirmed that he had seen the faceless man, but hadn't admitted it to anyone. He then told Aunt P that he wasn't sure what the exact reasons were, but he had a very strong feeling that they were supposed to see that person that day.

I have to admit that this story is often in the back of my mind when I go for my walks in the evenings and go to the cemetery and back.

Suitably creepy story! Thanks! *shiver* :)
Happy Tuesday!

Mysterious and sounds like fiction.

I haven't had a single supernatural experience in my whole life!

Before anything else, thank you for coming over my blog even though I was off line for several days. My Internet connection is back and I'm so happy. :)

That's a scary story. I've watched movies where supernatural beings like ghosts don't have faces. It always gives me the creeps.
