Heads Or Tails Tuesday *Ten Things*

One of my favorite bloggers, Skittles has started a Tuesday meme. It is LOTS of fun-so you'll wanna join us right away! If you click on the Heads or Tails logo - it will take you to the post to tell you more about the meme.

This week is a Tails week. We are supposed to list ten things staying within any category of our choosing.

I could do TEN of these Ten Things lists with no problem LOL, because I am obsessed with making lists. I've even been known to make lists of my lists. (I know - I've got issues)

Ten of My Favorite Authors
(all images borrowed from

1. Sara Donati/Rosina Lippi

(She's the same person, so this only counts as one - HA)
If you like Diana Gabaldon, you will LOVE Sara Donati's Wilderness Series
And, I've read Tied To The Tracks by Rosina Lippi three times (Sara Donati is her pen name)
2. John Grisham
My goal is to own ALL of his books in hardback. I'm off to a good start, but there are some that I still don't have. This is one of his that I don't have yet - I haven't even read this one yet!!!
3. James Patterson
I love James Patterson. Absolutely love him. My favorites are the Women's Murder Club Mysteries. I am eagerly waiting to get my hands on 6th Degree!
4. Patricia Cornwell
I just discovered her about a year or two ago, and upon reading two books, decided that I needed to start a collection of her books too! I have this one sitting on my end table right now, because it is the next to be read after I finish Diana Gabaldon's Outlander (and this college semester)
5. John Katzenbach
After reading The Madman's Tale, I immediately went out and bought more books by him.
6. Barbara Kingsolver
I can't tell you how much I loved Prodigal Summer. The Bean Trees and Pigs In Heaven are fabulous and fun reads too!
7. Sue Grafton
I own ALL of the alphabet mysteries, except for this one
8. Mary Higgins Clark
I love her and her daughter's books. I also especially enjoy the ones that they have written together.
9. Richard North Patterson
I love legal mysteries
10. Dean Koontz
I have loved him for over ten years! I used to own two shelves full of his hardbacks. Then, I donated them. Now, I wish I wouldn't have. Right before we moved, my dad's girlfriend gave me this book.
Trust me, this list could be A LOT longer, but we are only supposed to list ten ;-)
Now, I could go and do the top ten list of authors who have been recommended to me that I want to read LOL. Oh, I could make lists, upon lists, upon lists. Books are an addiction for me, so if you are familiar with some of these authors, and you know of an author not listed here that you think I would enjoy - PLEASE don't hesitate to give me a recommendation in your comment. I love having books/authors recommended to me!

What a great list!! I love Dean Koontz. I started reading him after tiring of Stephen King which became too formulaic for me. Great list!!

FINALLY! A list I understand! I know almost all your authors, and I share your passion for Kingsolver (Poisonwood Bible is my favorite one). Great list!

Mom Knows Everything

Great list of authors. I like Dean Koontz too, but Stephen King will always be my scary favorite. :o)

Deb - Mom of 3 Girls

You and I have a lot of the same favorites! I've read all of Sue Grafton's (except for T as well) and am slowly working on collecting them. I love Diana Gabaldon so I'll have to check out Sara/Rosina! Patricia Cornwell and Mary Higgins Clark are another couple of my favorites. Great list!! :)

Hey, I've actually read several books buy a few of those authors! (I bet you can guess which ones.) Happy T/H :P

I read all those authors. Dean Koontz is my favorite. I too collect his hardbacks.
Love the list!

♥.Trish.♥ Drumboys

To be honest - I don't know all of these authors -heard of a few I don't have much time to read thse days .Mary Higgins Clark I enjoyed all of her books.
I like mystery/legal stories so gives me something new to explore.

The Egel Nest

How did Patterson, Koontz, and Grisham make this list but not Stephen King? :)

All good choices by the way :)

The Egel Nest

Great list of authors you have in here..

I've read some of these authors, but not all of them. James Patterson is my daughter's favorite author. She doesn't read much, but she'll read his books.

I like Dean Koontz, too, except so many of his books seem to end too abruptly. He writes a good story and builds it all up and then. it's over. just like that. Still, I go back for more.

Smalltown RN

Wow I was surprised how many of the authors you mentioned are favorites of mine...Barbar Kinsolver the Bean tree and Pigs...loved those books...Patricia Cromwell, Mary Higgin Clark and Sue Grafton...all are mystery writers I enjoy and Grisham...great list

I've read some of Koontz and Grisham. Skittles got me to read real books instead of manuals lol.

I really enjoy reading about people's favorite authors. It has made my library selections easier.

My list of favorite authors would probably be too short. I stick within series for the most part. I prefer dragons & elves to more realistic fiction. :)

Our taste in books is so similar!

(Bleachers was good, but I think I like the courtroom ones better.)

I'm a list maker, too. I think we must be related. :)

ohhh great list!!! Happy Tuesday

I love these authors! Great list for HoT.

we read a lot of the same stuff!

I second number 4 x

peppylady (Dora)

I'm a first time player at head or tails and notice so far every one list is different, interesting, and or funny.

Heart of Rachel

Thank you for sharing this list of interesting books. It's been a while since I've bought a nice book and I will keep this list handy.

I'm a little late on mine but I was able to post it already. Take care!

Great list - I like Koontz's novels, too.

The Gal Herself

Your comment on my heads/tails was right on -- we do have similar tastes. I love Grisham, too! Thanks for stopping by.

First time player so thanks for your comment. I'm not much in to reading mysteries (sorry) but I do like John Grisham. Great list. Love your blog too!
