HELP - Fly Invasion!

I'm am at my wit's end here! This is absolutely horrible beyond words. We are being invaded taken over by flies! It is nasty and creepy!

This is not your normal "Oh Gosh, we sure have a lot of flies" - NO, this is the freaking window screens and ceiling are black because there are so many flies!

I'm actually really embarrassed by it... it's that bad and nasty! I don't know what to do!

This morning, my husband and I spent over an hour trying to get rid of the flies. He had the shop vac and and I had a hand vac, and we were each armed with flyswatters in our other hand! We were literally just sucking them, dead or alive, off the window screens, ceiling, and floor. I had heard that flies were a constant problem in this house. But, I was persuaded to believe so I would agree to live here told that once the carpet was pulled up and thrown out, the flies shouldn't be a problem. Well, guess what - NO freaking carpet remains in this house - it's ALL gone - but we still are being taken over by flies! I can't have the exterminator come out again until we have the basement finished.

UGH!!! This is gross. I'm disgusted.

Wow & I thought I had it bad with the little mustard beetles that congregate around our living room window. I wish you a fly-free home very soon!

Don't worry, you aren't the only one that has that problem.

I hope you guys find a solution! I'm sorry you're dealing with this!

Check your attic for bats. Also eves and anywhere they can get in... around chimneys, open clapboards, behind shutters... any little crack... they'll get in. If you've ever seen bat caves like on documentary TV shows you'll see flies all over the place. They love the droppings.

Mama Pajama

I tagged you for crazy 8s if you get a chance!

My flies are finally starting to get better, but that's because it's getting so cold here in Canada. I think I might want the flies over the snow. LOL

Could be worse--could be those itty bitty stooopid ants that invade my kitchen twice a year. Sorry, Mist, they'll go away soon. In the meantime, I love your flies on the blog--VERY cute!

PS--thanks for the kindness today, you're my best! xoxo

That sounds kinda scary. Like a horror movie or something.

Oh wow. How is the fly situation today? I do believe I'd be in total panic mode. We get ants real bad and it always stresses me out. They are endless!!
