Shopping Tips

Again, I was tagged by Tammy at Mom Knows Everything. I told you she is as meme crazy as me! We are seriously a meme-force to be reckoned with ;-) Well, since I seriously hate crowds, and we've recently established that I'm a serious homebody, you probably won't find my tip too surprising.

It’s very simple. When you receive this tag, copy the whole list and add your own shopping tip to the bottom and pass it on.

Wear comfy clothing when you’re shopping. You don’t wanna fuss with too many laces and buttons when you’re trying clothes on. http://rinnah-marketplace.blogspot.com/

Choose stores offering some kind of reward program, e.g. purchase points, rebates or store coupons. Knowing how the program works and when to use them will save you a lot of money in the long run. http://kakishopping.giddytigers.com/

Always ask for a discount or bargain, especially when you pay cash for big purchase like furniture and electrical items, you will be surprised how much lesser you have to pay. http://leahschrader.com/

Buy in bulk or from the hypermarket. Hypermarket like Giant and Tesco has greater offer than places like Jusco or Parkson. (I’m referring to household stuffs) http://montessorimum.com/

Think again if it does really makes any different without having that, and if no, it means you don’t really need to spend on that. http://www.demoments.net/

Wear comfortable shoes when going for shopping spree. Closed toes and high heels won’t give you the joy of shopping. If possible, wear sneakers or sandals like Birkenstock. http://littlepaces.com/

When you go shopping, it doesn't mean that you must buy something. If there's nothing to buy, just window shop. You get to see new products, learn new marketing strategies and you may see new opportunities. http://www.love4kids.blogspot.com/

Don’t shop for groceries on an empty stomach. Pushing the trolley through the supermarket aisles while you are hungry will just make you buy more than necessary. After all, wouldn't all the snacks look extra tasty while you are hungry? http://toddlerhumor.blogspot.com

If you take children shopping with you try to bring something that will keep them amused. Bring a small backpack with a few of their toys, books and snacks. Having a child whining that they are bored, they want a toy or they're hungry will only make your shopping trip stressful. Mom Knows Everything

Being that I don't live even close to any stores anymore, I do most of my shopping online. Don't purchase a big item from the first store you see it at. Comparison shop to find the better deals, whether it be lower price, free shipping, or even better return policies. Also, do your research when purchasing electronics or big items. My most important tip is read customer reviews. Not big name company reviews - customer reviews. These people are just like you and happen to have experience with the product you are considering - They have nothing to gain or lose, and are, therefore, going to give an honest review.
