Dispute Settled?!?!

Yesterday, we filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against that company that never shipped me the tote bags.

Then, we had to go do some things last evening, and when I got home around 8 p.m., I filed a complaint with PayPal. That was last night... Just now, I received two e-mails. One saying that the PayPal dispute had been resolved. Another explaining the resolution. I was given a full refund... quick as that!

And, here's the clincher... the Seller sent me this message through PayPal
"Message From Seller:
Full Refund - Order received but not processed or captured on PayPal. Misty - VERY sorry for order problem. Office has been closed due to major illness. If you still require items, we will ship new order freight free.
Best Regards,"

OK.... What??? My husband says "Well, what are you going to do? Because now they are offering the items to you with free shipping!"

Here's my problem... I can totally understand the illness, etc. In fact, that even crossed my mind several times (illness, divorce, etc). However, what I can't understand is why I received absolutely NO response whatsoever to six phone calls and three e-mails. Yet, as soon as I file a complaint with PayPal, this seller magically appears within a matter of hours?!?!

What should I do? Do you think I should take a chance and re-order from them to take advantage of the free shipping? Their prices on the totes were the lowest, and that's why I ordered from them to begin with... But, then this big ol' mess happened...

Oh. I. Just. Don't. Know. What. To. Do.

If I were you, I'd give my $ to another company. Sorry, when it comes to $, a company gets 1 chance to give you what you want when you want it for the price you want to pay for it. You're the customer!

You know the saying: Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. It *could* all work out well, but you never know. You need the totes now so you can earn your Christmas money. I wouldn't take the chance on this company again. Sorry. :(

Yep, I agree. Take your business elsewhere. Too risky to try again.

They really should have gotten in touch with you before you filed the dispute. Part of me wants to say give them another chance and the other part of me agrees with everyone else on taking your business elsewhere. Now maybe if they promised free OVERNIGHT shipping ...
