Internet Addiction & Procrastination

I was going through serious withdrawals this morning. I woke up and didn't have any internet or phone! Ok, I can deal without the phone... but I HAVE to have my internet!

It was out for several hours. Of course part of this was Murphy's Law, because I was being punished.

You see, I have NEVER, EVER put off doing homework before. I'm always way ahead in all my classes. Since the move and being so busy, though, my classes have become less important to me. I don't have the drive or the desire anymore. I've honestly thought about not continuing with college, to which my husband replies "Oh yeah, that's real intelligent, Misty. Just drop out of college with a 4.0" Yeah, yeah... whatever.

Anyway, I have a report due on Monday... You guessed it... I had procrastinated and not even started it. Oh, I'll do it on Sunday, I thought. I'll work all day Sunday on it. Yep, I was being punished. I'm sure of it. That's why I woke up and was without internet for several hours... to teach me a lesson!

I've been w/out internet @ home for 2 months. Ugh. I just can't seem to make myself call MSN to help me find myself (username, etc.). Plus, I've had an experience recently that made me not like having the internet @ home... When I did & was in school, I found it took me much longer to get homework done because I got distracted by more interesting stuff on my 'Puter. It all begins again in January & it's gonna be even tougher 'cause I have to access the 'Net to get my assignments, etc. Wish me luck! :)

I hear ya! I was suppose to have a bunch of reports due for an intense meeting this morning. Found out last night that the meeting was cancelled...good thing since I hadn't even started!!!

D...

We have our internet, phone, & cable all tied together. It bites when it's out. But, it does make you do all that stuff that you've put off. Dangit.

My Name Is Marcus Langford

I was telling a friend of mine that if I had the choice between the two, I would take the Internet over the TV. TV just isn't what it used to be, but I gotta have my Internet. I mean my business is the Internet, so I really need it, but beyond that, I just love the Internet and this blog thing in particular.

I'm with Marcus on this one - I can do without the TV (after all, you can now watch all the shows you want right on your handy-dandy computer!) but I'd go nuts without my Internet.

How pathetic I have become when it comes to the computer!
