Heads Or Tails *In the Sky or In the Water*

One of my favorite bloggers, Skittles has started a Tuesday meme. It is LOTS of fun-so you'll wanna join us right away! If you click on the Heads or Tails logo - it will take you to the post to tell you more about the meme.

This week's topic is Heads - anything in the Sky or Space. Or, there is also a Tails topic - anything in or under the water.

Well, I'm going to combine the two a little bit and quite quickly tell you why my Heads or Tails is not going to be very fabulous this week.

Last night, throughout the night, we had freezing rain come from the sky and cover our trees and ground. So, technically, the tree branches are under a sheet of frozen water... along with the roads, vehicles, etc.
The freezing rain is expected to continue coming from the sky, and we are also supposed to have Thunderstorms in the sky, which will cause more rapid ice accumulation and pretty much ensure that everything else is under about an inch of frozen water a.k.a. ice.

My aunt-in-law just called a little while ago to tell us that she has no electric. Shortly after that conversation, our electric started going on and off. Therefore, chances are very strong that I will not get to visit all of the Heads or Tails participants today, like I usually do. If I don't, I will catch up with all of you tomorrow.

I am going to post more photos on Misty's Words for my Heads or Tails post on that blog. As you can see from this photo - we have been lucky so far, because we still have electric and no big limbs down yet. Since the storm is supposed to continue until midnight, I'm hoping that we continue to be lucky.

Hi! Great post with the meme!

Rambler

Even though I can imagine how difficult it would be to live in such cold, I can't help but enjoy the amazing beauty of the icy picture you have posted :)

Heart of Rachel

I'm sorry to hear about the strong downpour. Hope all is well with you. Take care!

poor man's nicole richie

God bless you always = )

Tammy

Do not go outside in that ice!!!! This is your BBFF talking so you have to listen. LOL!!! Be safe and warm :o)

Skittles

It's been icy here, too. I feel for all those people without power.

Natalie

We're under a layer of ice too, not quite as bad, but I've never dealt with this before and it's really weird. I hope you don't lose power!

smarmoofus

My cousin and her family are in town at my aunt/uncle's house because her power is out from the ice. They had two trees on their house and more ice expected. So they're here until things get repaired. I think her husband stayed behind to keep an eye on things and to work.

I hope you don't have it quite as bad as my cousin. Great pics, though! That tree isn't coping well... just falling to pieces.

Thanks for visiting my HoT earlier.

Siani

I like the way you've combined both themes. I hope your power stays on and that you keep warm and safe. Thanks for the visit - happy Tuesday!

Terri

UGH! be careful! We're expecting the tail end of that, BUT they also said to brace for a possible Noreastern sun, mon, tue? I'm not looking forward to that!

Hope you're staying warm and safe.

Andrée

My thoughts and prayers are with you. From experience, I know how serious 1 inch of ice is. Please stay safe and warm.

Smalltown RN

I've been watching the news about the ice storms....pretty scary....please stay safe and warm...and I too hope your trip is safe, fun and not to hectic....and maybe you might get one of your hypothetical wishes....you never know....

Vic Grace

That is a good picture of the tree, quite creative about being under the water I think.
