Identity Theft
In one of my college courses, we studied and learned about identity theft. With advancements in technology and the internet, identity theft has become an increasing problem. I was amazed and terrified by the things I learned.
For example, one thing we learned was to not simply place your credit card with the bill at a restaurant for the waiter or waitress to take to the cash register. Take the bill and your card to the register yourself, and watch the process as your credit card is being charged. It has been discovered that some people will use a cell-phone camera to take a photo of your card. They then have your credit card number at their disposal even though they don't have the card.
Absolutely anyone is at risk for identity theft now, and it is important to lean how to protect yourself so you do not become a victim. Even children are at risk!
Luckily, there are now ways for you to get help if you have experienced any form of identity theft. One company that offers assistance is lifelock. They take pride in their fight against identity theft, and they guarantee their services.

Somebody just told me about that today! I'd never heard of it. But, yep. YOu have to be pretty careful. I never even thought of anyone taking a picture of a credit card as it's on the table.
Wow, I don't think I'm going to use my card anymore when I go out to eat.
