Please Accept My Embarrassed Apology

Some people have informed me that they think the photo I posted in my post yesterday was inappropriate.

When I posted it, I did not think that it was inappropriate. I thought it was a good photo with me smiling and having fun. The photo was taken in that area of our home, because we have no other area in our home right now that allows enough space and uncluttered area for photographs.

I was not trying to be 'trampy' (Yes, I just invented that adjective). I was not trying to be suggestive. I was simply wanting to share what I believed to be a good photograph. I posted it because I was proud, but now I am full of embarrassment and regret.

I guess maybe I should just stick with being behind the camera rather than in front of it.

Please accept my apologies, and I hope I haven't changed too many people's opinion of me.

Oh dear Misty, you have nothing to apologize for. There is nothing about that photo that is anything but fun and beauty.

laurie

trampy? sounds like something an overly protective mom might say.

fret not. as far as i can tell, everyone thought you looked very cute.

Sanni

Inappropriate?

I can´t see anything inappropriate (or even "trampy") in this photo... all I can see is a gorgeous ravishing beauty having fun.

Your smile is simply absorbing, Misty!

In my book the photo is defintely a photo to be proud of!

(((HUGS)))

I don't know who told you it was inappropriate, but I sure would like to know why they would say something so hurtful to you. Lots and lots of people have left such wonderful comments about how beautiful you are. Don't let one or two peoples opinion get you down. You can't please and make everybody happy, so do what makes you happy. You are the one who counts! You are a wonderful and caring person and you should be proud of your photo. I know I am PROUD to say that you are my best friend! I love you Misty!

Mountaingirl

You can't go into hiding - I want to play in the Photo Competition! :-)

Sandee (Comedy +)

Don't you dare apologize. You did absolutely nothing wrong. Don't let people get to you. You are adorable. Whoever said this should be ashamed of themselves. This is your blog Misty. Do with it what you will. No one else has the right to tell you what to post on your blog. Big hug honey. :)

Siani

Oh no! Don't you dare apologize for that lovely photograph. I won't hear a word of it. It's a lovely, candid, playful shot, which looks way more innocent than suggestive to me. I bet the people who complained were all women, right?

You know what I reckon? I'm pretty certain a few green-eyed monsters reared their ugly heads. If there was anything inappropriate or 'trampy' about that shot - I would have seen it. And I didn't. As for the b*****s who complained - they're insanely jealous of you. Failing that, they're all religious fanatics who should transport themselves back in time to the days of the Puritans, or move to a country where all women are required by law to cover up from head to toe. That truly is a lovely photograph. You look fantastic in it. Be proud, not embarrassed. And if any of those old miseries have another bad word to say about you or your pic - send 'em my way. I'll happily roast them with a few choice words!

Mushy

Bull crap...not inappropriate at all!

In today's world, even an Muslim would be acceptant to that photo!

You were beautiful and don't you dare remove it!

It's your blog and you should post want to! There was nothing to be embarrassed about in yesterday's post at all. You looked great and you looked like you were having fun.

Sorry that someone has said something to make you doubt yourself.

Vic, the Cariboo Ponderer

Give me a break. You look just fine nothing in that posture offends me. Some people offend way too easily. Now I wish I had a photo of myself that would get that much attention and baby I have much more to be offended by.

Linda

Who in the blue hell told you that post was offensive? Girl, I thought it was a fantastic picture and it looked like you were having a wonderful time and you looked great!

I hope I didn't offend you with my calendar comment, I meant it most sincerely and as a compliment, certainly not as an insult or any sort of suggestion that it was inappropriate.

Hell, I wish I looked a quarter of that good ... or happy ... or carefree ...

Bradley's Mom

Misty:

Anyone who thought that photo was inappropriate is totally ridiculous!

It's a cute shot of you, and there is absolutely NOTHING to be ashamed of.

Wow.......some people will complain about anything........stay away from such negative folks.

Love ya,
Linda

Travis

I saw nothing wrong with that photograph. No need to apologize to me, or to go into hiding.

Whoever didn't like the photo can hit the "next blog" button and move on.

Stacey

I missed all the hubub, apparently! I went down and looked, and Misty, me thinks whoever said you looked trampy clearly can't get away with that look. I look at that photo and I see exactly the gal you were portraying, fun and playful. That kind of makes me seethe, girlfriend. ((((hugs))))

Anna

I think you look adorable in that photo. Trampy never even entered my mind. Hot, yes, but not remotely trampy.

I am proud of you for leaving that picture right where you posted it in the first place, regardless of what someone might have said. You really can't worry too much about what anyone says. If you feel comfortable with it, that's good enough.

i beati

Someone who told you this needs to get a life-quickly - lovely , happy is never inappropriate!!!!

Skittles

Well, I'm glad you're out of hiding already or this comment would have been a lot longer!

The picture you posted had nothing wrong with it. NOTHING! (Except I wanted to feed you.. lol) This is your blog to do with as you choose and if someone doesn't like what they see here there are about a gazillion other blogs they could visit.

D...

Um, what was inappropriate about the picture? You were fully clothed, sitting on a bed. Your body wasn't even posed in an inappropriate way. I hate that someone said that to you. It looked like exactly what it was. A husband and wife spending time together.

Claire

WTF! I thought that picture was and is lovely.

:)

Akelamalu

Innapropriate??? Who said that? Let me at 'em!

CrazyCath

I agree with everyone here. The photo is great. You look happy, relaxed and playful with a twinkle in your eye!

Never change that. It's healthy and the complainants need to look at themselves...

Cathy

Oh please -- compared to what the kiddos are posting on MySp*ace these days, that is positively tame!

You looked beautiful and mischievous, NOT trampy.

The Gal Herself

Don't you DARE go into hiding after that photo! You look great. If I had thighs like yours, I'd wear that outfit to the office and strike that pose on the conference room table! You should be PROUD of having a fit and healthy body. And besides, it's YOUR BLOG! You can post whatever you damn well please on it.

Do you want me to beat any of those judgmental posters up for you?

bundle-o-contradictions

Whoever said such a thing needs a kick in the butt! It's your blog, you have every right to post a picture of yourself & every right to be proud of yourself. You're very pretty & you have every right to celebrate that! **in fighting stance** How rude of whoever that was! Jerks.

Jen

I didn't see any pictures, but I think the evidence is overwhelming that whatever it was, was not inappropriate. I hope that whoever said that to you feels ashamed for making you feel so horrible. You are a nice person and I can't imagine you doing anything that would be wrong. Hold your chin up girl and don't let them get you down anymore!

Well, aparently what I had to say, had to be said twice more! :) Sorry about the issue with posting, blogger is so wonky somedays.

Andrée

I sure am glad you didn't take it down! Good for you! I love it! And I'm so glad I'm out and about blogging again!

Heart of Rachel

There's no reason to apologize. You look lovely in the photo and I never thought it was inappropriate in any way. It's sad that someone would think it was inappropriate. Don't worry about that person. Keep those beautiful photos coming. Take care.

WolfGirl

Bullocks! Tell that person to blow it out their ear (as my Mom says).

If anything (as a fellow blogger) I admire your courage to put a picture of yourself up! I can only bring myself to do an eye shot and a shot of me accompanying my dog on my ABOUT page - and even then I get sweaty palms about it and ask millions of people what they think about it for self assurance (lame, I know)

You do your thing girl and if someone doesn't like it then tell them to blow it out of their other ear. :)
