Camera-Critters #15

Have I ever mentioned that I love it here? OK, maybe I have too many times once or twice, but I'm saying it again. I miss my family and friends so much I can physically feel it, but as far as this area is concerned, I love it here. I love that I can just walk in my backyard and, rather than seeing a bunch of houses, I see this...
Or, if I walk a little bit further on our property, and pay close attention, I find this...
And, if I pay even closer attention, I can notice this...
You really have to pay close attention, or you might miss something; such as this...
(this critter is waving to y'all. Can you hear it?
It is saying "Hellooooooo there wonderful Camera-Critters folks!")
People think I'm crazy because I am such a homebody, but I don't care.
I'm just content here. Nope, no travel health insurance for me... Not when I can walk out the door of my home and see beauty all around me, such as this...

My Camera Critters Here and Here
These are really nice shots. Loe the butterflies.
Misty: What great bugs you have there, great for a CC post.
Thanks for fixing the link. I was at a party during the day when I tried the link and must have mistyped. Your the best.
A lot of good shots there, Misty!
My subject matter is much the same at present. I am concentrating on the whitetail fawns and bucks with some trips to photograph elk, but I really find photographing insects to be relaxing and fulfilling and I am glad to see that you enjoy this also.
I especially like the butterflies when they are posed on clover or thistle blossoms.
Keep up the good work!
I really like the one on the flower. Good shots, all of them!
P.S. I know exactly what you mean about loving where you live. I feel the same way about our place. I 'd always wanted to live someplace out in the country that I would never want to leave, and now we do!
So beautiful! I love the one that looks like a leaf!
Those are beautiful butterflies.
I hope you don't mind that the photo quality of my entry is a little inferior. I forgot my camera but good thing there was a cellphone camera handy.
Take care!
BTW,
you may find mine here
Wow Misty that is some beautiful butterflies i love the colors of the last one
Misty... I feel the same way about living in the mountains. We're surrounded by nature and wildlife... I can't imagine living anywhere else! I loved all of your butterfly photos today... thanks for sharing!
Really excellent pictures, Misty.
I hate travel also - even if we could afford it.
Didn't you do well!
Those are terrific photo's.
I can never get that close in the wild.
These are such vivid shots! I spent some time on each! They are just amazing!
I know exactly how you feel, I too am a real home bird. The camera is a means to recording what is going on where we are, and simply appreciating the little things which money could not buy!
These are perfect photos - why would anyone want to live anywhere else?
Totally perfect! I especially like the monarch, and cringed at the sight of those other critters.
oh wow! Beautiful shots!!!
I tried to take shots of a dragonfly the other week, but thats when Saki discovered dragonflies and ... well... that will teach me never to bring a dog with when I want to get shots of anything but her! :)
Great shots!
Wow, wonderful pictures, great work.
Thanks for visiting.
I love the third picture! You really do have a great eye. I would totally have missed it.
I'm glad you love your new home even tho you miss your family/friends. It's tough, I know.
I swear you must live in the butterfly capitol of the universe! I think I have seen maybe four butterflies all summer and you keep popping up with more and more and more pics of 'em! Great shots, Misty!
WOW AWESOME!! thx for stopping by.
lovely close-ups!
oh my .. how gorgeous. Such beautiful photos! gorgeous :):) (hmm I said that already).
These are just beautiful! I don't think I have ever seen a butterfly like the one on the bottom. Looks like a mosaic.
I am not a big fan of the insects, but these gorgeous photos make me change my mind!
Lady, you are great with a camera! Awesome photos!
