Camera-Critters #20

It was a dark and stormy night...
(c) Misty DawnS

The creatures were poised...
(c) Misty DawnS

preparing for their first strike
which would put the whole plan into action...
(c) Misty DawnS

and capture all other innocent creatures
unsuspecting and unaware...
(c) Misty DawnS

No, I'm just kidding! You were getting scared weren't you?
It was just Misty out on a walk at dusk, a.k.a. low light conditions.
I didn't mean to make you run and hide under your bed.
It's OK, honest - you can come out now.
Come on out and see my new friend.
(c) Misty DawnS

There is a set of twin fawns who play together at dusk
in two hayfields down the road from me.
(c) Misty DawnS

This one was getting rather curious about me and
was actually starting to walk toward me to check me out.

Unfortunately, my new camera has a rather loud shutter (not good for taking photos of skittish wildlife). So, the fawn heard the shutter and decided it had come close enough. Oh well, that's the ONLY thing that I don't like about the new camera. You can't have everything perfect. ;-)

Misty: Very well captured, loved the story and I was only shaking a little. So when did you start this Steven King style? LOL

The silhouette of the dragonfly is stunning!
I love the fawn ones. I remember you posting back a few weeks ago and your camera wouldn't pick up what was on the hay bale and can see past it!! :)

Yikes!!! I can come out now? Whew!

What a fun post. Thanks for making me smile :)

The fawns are precious...

My critter is here

Wonderful set of images, especailly for me the deer. They are such gentle creatures.

I love the dragonfly shots and the deer too!

those top two critters kind of looked creepy!!

I simply love the insect shot!

How beautiful! Deer are such graceful creatures.

A fun post, but there at the end it looked like maybe some of my little spotted coated Pennsylvania friends had traveled down your way to pose for you!

At any rate, I'm glad you had the encounter with the fawns.

Ain't skeered! Really! I enjoyed the story and the fawn pictures were very special. I am so completely enjoying this meme!

Great post, I love the fawn. Beautiful pic of the moon for Sky Watch.

Wouldn't want to get bitten by that one. The fawn is a bonus though.

The fawns are cute! Scrolling fast makes them look like they are moving.

Cor! Auntie Dawn you had me hiding under mummy's desk! LOL!

Nice shots, especially the silhouette. But a dragonfly...naaa...looks a lot like a Robber Fly to me 8v)

Wonderful CC post!! Beautiful pictures of the dragonfly? and bird in silhouette and darling pictures of the fawns.

Great catch!! I chose the larger size animals for my weekly entry.

You are so lucky to just walk outside & see all these wonderful, beautiful critters.

Great series of photos, Misty. Love the dragonfly silhouette; very unusual profile.

I've managed to turn off all the boops, blips, beeps on my camera *except* for the one when the camera focuses on something. Blast! I won't be content until I get that one shut up as well!

Mom Knows Everything

Ya freaked me out there! I thought you were going to tell me about a tornado or something! It's not nice to scare your BBFF! hehehe

A beautiful built up story, pretty illustrations. The top one is absolutely the best one for me : ready in attacking position :-))

That curious fawn is just gorgeous.

That curious fawn is just gorgeous.

Great shots Misty!

Kahshe Cottager

I am so slow getting around to see all the blogs this week! Love your fawns and you really had me going at the beginning - I was expecting to see a poor mouse or something in the shadow of the hawk!

Wow, fantastic photos, I lile the close-up of the fly very much. Is it a Dragonfly? Thanks for your visit,

Great shots!! Love the fawns and I'm a dragonfly freak! They like to follow me for some reason. They say that where there are dragonflies there are fairies so who knows... maybe I'm a fairy in disquise! NOT! LOL
I've had my new camera for a touch over a year now and just figured out how to shut off all the sounds about a week ago. You must have a setting in there somewhere.

Amazing Gracie

If only I could live somewhere like this where you can just bask in nature - I'd be in hog heaven!
Serenity NOW!

You are so fortunate to live where you can see these things on a day to day basis. And.. WAIT one darn SECOND!! New camera????? NEW camera????? *Happy Dance* Yippeeeeee!!!!

Look at you, 50 comments! These pics are fantabulistic, Mist, wow wow wow!!! You're talented beyond talented, but then you know I always thought it.

When oh when will you have time to meet up with me? I really miss you. xoxo

Sandra Carvalho
