Camera-Critters #41

It all started when our neighbors (and good friends)
were moving their cattle from one area down the road
to a field across from our house.
They called Hubs and asked if he would help,
and, of course, he agreed.
As the cattle were making their way
down the road,
I just couldn't resist...

I quickly grabbed my camera and
ran to the front yard to get some photos.
Then, the cows started to turn around
to go back the way they came.
I quickly ran inside
to hide in case it was my fault
attend to chores I needed to do in the house.

Later, Hubs came home and informed me
some idiot had scared the cattle into turning around
the cows were all nice and cozy now in their new home field.

So, I went for a walk, knowing I couldn't cause any problems now.
And, that is when...
I spotted HER
(c) Misty DawnS

She stood in the field watching me,
with the sun highlighting her and all her beauty.

If I could speak 'cow', I would tell her I think she's gorgeous.
But, I can't speak 'cow'.
So, I just told her "I think you're gorgeous".
Do you think she understood?

I wonder if Big Guy here realizes
there's a Hottie in his field.
Someone should tell him.
I would, if I could speak 'cow'.
They should go on a date...
maybe browse on some corn stalks
or hay together and say sweet nothings to each other,
in 'cow'speak, of course.
Oh yes, they could moo the night away.

Oh yes, someone should tell Mr. Big Guy
about the Beautiful Bovine over on the
other side of the field.

Finding Pam

Nice photo of the cows, especially the gorgeous one. She is very unusual.

Wow, she is stunning!

Thanks for all this hard work on the CC!

You didn't frighten that herd-did you" Oh No!

Seriously, an excellent, humorous post with top-notch photographs.

I just love to look at cows. They're so gentle. Love your close-up shots!

haha You scared the cows, you scared the cows!

Over here, over here, Misty Dawn did it!!

lol Cute story, love the cattle photos. I can totally speak cow.

Wonderful photo essay Misty! That last one looks like she's looking straight at you to get her portrait taken.
I also think the silhouettes in the previous post are nice as well.

What unusual markings she has! Nice shots all.

Very lovely! She's a beauty :)

Cool commentary. ;-)

She really is a gorgeous cow. Really unusual colouring..

The bovine photos are great, but your commentary makes it even better! Good Mooooorning!

She is indeed a gorgeous cow. I wonder who could have scared those cows? I've helped move a few in my day, and heard some rather unusual expletives in the process.

She sure is a beauty. Have you ever seen Jersey cows? They have eyelashes to die for and the most beautiful faces!

Seems like a lot of cattle to move by oneself. Good that your family could help.

I love it when you grab your camera and take photos of cows ... these are wonderful!
Hugs and blessings,

Reader Wil

Wonderful post! Is it not too cold to stay out for the cattle? The cattle overhere went into their stables as soon as the frost came.

Okay I got the theme song from Rawhide in my head now. LOL

Hi there... want to change your favicon? find out how.. Have a nice tuesday!

Do you moo at the cows when you see them?

Cheryl Ann

I LOVE your cow pics! We found some longhorns this weekend! Come check them out on my deserthorses blog: I also have a black lab puppy, Ripley. She has her own blog: LOVE your blog!

Apparently you are the same kind of hero I am concerning cows ! I once had one looking in our window door into the living room, when our garden was not yet with a fence. I dropped my cup of coffee and called Mr. Gattino for help, lol !
