If you are looking for my Heads or Tails post,
please scroll down to the next post.

Update on my cousin's wife/best friend - She was in surgery for six hours yesterday. They removed her gallbladder and appendix in addition to the 17 pound tumor. Yes, you read that correctly.

On another note - my aunt who has Pancreatic Cancer is not doing well at all. She cannot keep food down. They have taken her off the chemo, and she now has to go every day to receive fluids and anti-nausea medicine.

When it rains, it pours. I'm exhausted, have had a headache for two days, and am fighting against a Fibro flare, but I'm hanging in there. None of this is unusual, so please don't be concerned about me

However, please DO continue to pray and/or send good thoughts for my cousin's wife/BF and my aunt. Thanks.

I received this poem in an e-mail and thought it was absolutely fantastic.
(I don't know who the author is.)

He was just a little boy,
On a week's first day.
Wandering home from Bible school,
And dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass;
He even found a caterpillar.
He found a fluffy milkweed pod,
And blew out all the 'filler.'

A bird's nest in a tree overhead,
So wisely placed up so high.
Was just another wonder,
That caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course,
And hailed him from the lawn;
Asked him where he'd been that day
And what was going on.

'I've been to Bible School ,'
He said and turned a piece of sod.
He picked up a wiggly worm replying,
'I've learned a lot about God.'

'M'm very fine way,' the neighbor said,
'for a boy to spend his time.'
'If you'll tell me where God is,
I'll give you a brand new dime.'

Quick as a flash the answer came!
Nor were his accents faint.
'I'll give you a dollar, Mister,
If you can tell me where God ain't.'

Still praying.

What an amazing poem!

Wow. 17 pounds. I hope the results get back quickly.

I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. I can very well imagine how frustrating it is for you to be far away from your family.

{{hugs & love}}

Hey my BBFF sent this to me...hmmm, I wonder if you know her? ;o)

A 17 lb tumor? holy cow! I hope she's feeling better now. Well she pretty much has to be. :) Hope your Aunt is doing well too. :) It has to be so hard! Does she know about Chemo Angels? Might be something she likes. . .Or you can have the Lydia Project send her a little tote. Those two things are for people with cancer, going through chemo.. .

What a fabulous poem! Just read it to hubby. It is brilliant!

Praying and thinking of your loved ones. Take care my friend
