Camera-Critters #60

Hello Friends, and welcome to another edition of the wonderful and fun Camera-Critters. Those of you who know me well (and have decided to love me, or at least put up with me, despite my issues) know I'm a bit bug-obsessed... especially when it comes to butterflies and dragonflies. For those of you who don't know me well yet (trust me, you'll want to get to know me well - I'm irresistible like that... like a wart you can't get rid of)... anyhow... what I'm trying to say is - I'm a self-proclaimed bug-obsessed kinda gal - like it or not.

and THIS, my wonderful friends, if my first dragonfly photo of the year!!! WooooHoooo! OK, so it's not that great of a photo (trust me, my dragonfly shots will get much better as the year progresses), and most of you probably don't even like dragonflies, but this is a very important moment for me. So, please join me in a moment of silence and thanks for the wonderful pleasure of dragonflies. ********************* Thank you. You may now go back to researching nutritional health supplements or whatever it was you were doing, and you may now let your weekend begin.

You really captured the delicate structure of the wings, Mist.

Those wings are amazing!

This Is My Blog - fishing guy

Misty: What a neat dragonfly in grren.

Teena in Toronto

Nice wingspan!

I played too :)

Happily Retired Gal

I see dragonflies only occasionally here in So Cal ... and have NEVER captured one so wonderfully. I'll look forward to all you share in weeks to come!
Hugs and blessings,

Great photo and great to meet another bug-obsessed person - I love all of them, even the really creepy ones :)

Your shot is a BEAUTY :)

Beautiful, just beautiful. I've had a rather strange looking orange (and I mean bright, dark orange) dragonfly in Musashi's Garden, but he won't stay put on anything and let me take a photo! Arggggh! Thanks for giving me hope!

I really like dragonflies..

They remind me of a string of flying jewels :-)

I love your dragonfly photos!

Beautiful capture!

Beautiful dragonfly! I saw my first demoiselles round our pond a few days ago. They're fascinating creatures and as old as time.

Your dragonfly is a beautiful fellow. He's dressed in spring green to match the new foliage.

Very nice! I love dragonfly pictures

Hummm....first of the year, eh? I haven't even seen one yet...hehehe. It looks to be a juvenile female Eastern Pondhawk.

Your "dragon" is very much different from Indrani's this week. Both a fascinating critters though.

Very nice! Even if it is a bug.

Linda aka Crafty Gardener

Dragonflies are amazing to watch and photograph. Great photo for the first of the season.

Adrienne Zwart

What do you mean that it's not a great photo? I love it! They are fascinating little creatures. Been thinking about you and wondering how you manage to keep up with all this. Did you get the car fixed yet?

If this is the 'not so good' version, I wonder what the good version looks like. I love it!

Coy Hill

Good shot Misty, I don't think I have ever seen one quite this color.

I love a good dragonfly, we had some amazing, huge blue dragonfly's here last summer, I'll have to try and get a picture this year. We celebrated our Puppy's 1st birthday this week, lots of fun.

Smalltown RN

That is an amazing photo.....mine is up....

I can't wait to see some around here!

I too have dragons for my critters, but of a different kind. ;)
