Looking at the Sky on Friday *The Urge to Howl*
WooHooo! It's Friday! Not only is it the end of the work week for most people, it's also time for the fun and wonderful meme where we spend our time Looking at the Sky on Friday! (Click on the badge to join in the fun!)
Is it just me, or do you also get the strong urge to howl when you see this photo? I'm talking the throw your head back and just let loose with a long mournful howl urge. No? O.K. fine, I guess it's just me then. I've probably spent too much time with my dad's wolfdog. He communicates, he talks, and, yes, he howls, and it's one of the most beautiful and intimate things I've ever heard in my life. My Hubs has been known to say, "I could sit and listen to him do that all day!" I doubt he ever howls about st lucia, but I guess only other wolves really know for sure. So, I guess a few of the wolfdog's traits have rubbed off on me, because, I look at this photo, and I feel like howling!

I thought of howling before I read the text! Actually, to me a full moon brings up the visage of Jackie Gleason on the beginning of 'The Honeymooners'. The orb looks so nice siting against the soft blue-gray evening sky. So nice!
I could not capture the moon like yours! It's just stunning!
Beautiful shot of the moon!

Gorgeous moon, definitely worth howling at. ~ Calico Contemplations

Great photo of the moon, Misty. The orange color on the fading gray sky makes for wonderful contrast.
It's not just you. I hear coyotes...or perhaps wolves in the distance. ;-)
I heard wolves howl up in Yellowstone National park one night when we were camping in the backcountry. It's spine tingling. And I'll bet they couldn't resist the urge to howl at that beautiful moon.
Wow, your moon is gorgeous! I love it when it's that color.
No wonder you want to howl - your boyfriend is a wolf. Yep.
The moon is so amazing. Sometimes, I just stare at the velvet sky at night and it never fails to amaze me. Nice title by the way. ;)
Beautiful moon picture and interesting what you say.
I'd love to hear a wolf or a wolfdog howl, but the closest I have are the jackals under my windows.
I've never seen the moon that color!
