Camera-Critters #100

(c) Misty DawnS

I took the above photo in March of last year. Well, apparently these birds like to be on as much of a routine as I do, because when I pulled in the drive yesterday, my entire yard was filled with these critters. They, of course, flew when I pulled in, but they didn't fly far. Some sat in the trees and some sat in the field on the other side of the barbed wire. They were talking to me, and I'm pretty sure they were teasing me about how soon they would be ridding my feeders of all the seed.

On another note, I'm seriously researching laptops. This one causes me to take twice the amount of time to accomplish my tasks, because the keys pop off and don't work correctly. I'm thinking about another Toshiba Satellite, but part of me worries that the same thing that happened to this one will happen to the new one. Then again, I've had this one for over two years and use it several hours a day... so, I'm not sure if two years would be considered a short life or not.

Cool shot of the blackbird! These birds do seem to hang out in big groups.

The bird looked so good...

Misty: Crows, a tough bird because of the black. This is a nice shot.

Even tho these birds can be noisy and pesty, you cannot deny that they have a majesty about them. Birds are wonderful creatures.

When I had my laptop serviced recently, I asked the shop for recommendations, should I buy another. The staff person told me that Dell computers are the easiest to maintain, service, and repair. Getting a new one is always a thrill, I think.

Birds teasing? With out a doubt:)

I love the angle of that shot - pretty black bird. I have had my Dell laptop for 1 year now and I just love it - I would get another one in a minute -- I highly recommend them :)

I love it!

Crows are pretty darned smart!! This is a great shot that showcases their beautiful blackness.

I bought a Toshiba at Christmastime and the keyboard didn't work well at all. I ret'd it and purchased a compaq/HP, and am quite satisfied! Good luck with your search! ~ks

Pretty birdie!

Lovely shot! Birds aren't the easiest subjects, but this is great. As for the laptop, doesn't seem like that short of a life to me, but I'm not an expert. I will add that I got a mac about 6 months ago and don't know how I ever lived without it. It's fabulous. No more windows/PC for me! The graphics on the mac are amazing. Is this something you've given any thought to?

Great shot, Misty!

Great shot Misty! Happy 100 and a big thank you for making CC a success! :-)

Congrats on the 100th edition of Camera Critters, Misty.

When I first saw this photo, I thought hummm...Brewer's Blackbird. But looking at it again, it could also be a Common Grackle. Hard to tell for sure.

Nice photo 8v)

This is a wonderful bird photo, they're the one animal I have trouble capturing because they move so much!

Very nice bird shot! I guess 2 years isn't bad for a laptop - I just made the switch to Mac - am loving it!

I love that shot of the black bird. It's cool to see the details. Congrats on 100 CCs.

Nice shot of the bird. They really do have a schedule, don't they?

I was looking at laptops this week - thinking of finding one for Cory for college next year. bing was giving 20% cashback at HP, so it looked like a decent deal, but I didn't make any decisions.

Good capture. Clear and vibrant! That feathered creature looks sleek! :)

You really take great shots whatever the target may be. :)

Buying a brand new laptop is always the best thing but repairing yours is the practical thing. HP is one of the best laptop I ever had and haven't failed me since.

Kewl shot of this bird ... I've been watching crows in my neighborhood lately and shared some photos on my Sacred Ruminations blog over the weekend. Glad you enjoyed the geese I shared at Small Reflections. I found them in a park near my sister's home here in Southern California. As for laptops, my last two have been Dells. I loved the Inspiron 9100 I bought about 10 years ago (and was still working fine until a few weeks ago) ... but the Inspiron 1720 (running Vista) has given me LOTS of headaches in the 20 months I've had it and Dell's Tech Support hasn't been too helpful until last week. Interestingly, all seems to be working properly since last Thursday's marathon session with three different techies on the phone ... so I'm feeling better about Dell again. I've never owned a Toshiba but methinks two years is a very short life for any computer no matter how much you use it! Whatever you decide ... good luck ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
