Camera-Critters #135

I was walking back from my pond that place I talk about too often on this blog, and I heard a sound. I assumed it was the wind blowing the dry leaves and weeds around. As I stood there listening, this little head popped up out of the grass, sat there long enough for me to get one photo, and then buried itself back into the grass. Silly Opossum, you don't come out during the day! Hmmm, maybe he popped up to visit me because he doesn't like the water from my pond that place I talk about too much on this blog, and he thought I was a water filter supplier. Yeah, maybe that's it! Maybe.

This is probably the first cute picture of an opossum I've ever seen. lol. Nice one! :)

We don't have them in my country - but he looks kind of cute!

Cute capture of the opossum!

He must be a very young one, to be so cute. I've seen lots of big ones and they're not very attractive!

He's really quite adorable, lol. Great catch! These little boogers can be difficult.

Aw, he is cute! My mother-in-law, who lived alone, fell asleep on the sofa one night. A noise woke her up. She opened one eye and peeked toward the kitchen. An Opossum (a.k.a. possum) was trying to open a cabinet door. She just closed her eyes and went back to sleep. Seems the little critter figured out how to open the screen door, which didn't have a latch. When questioned about going back to sleep, she said she figured he would leave when he found what he was looking for. Fortunately, he wasn't able to get inside the cabinets and was gone the next morning. That was one gutsy woman.
