One Little Word For 2011

Recently, I came across several posts referring to a project called One Little Word. This project was designed by Ali, who has an awesome blog and is an amazing scrapbooker!

Here's what Ali has to say about the One Little Word Project:
Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2011?
It can be something tangible or intangible. It could be a thought, or a feeling, or an emotion. It can be singular or plural. The key is to find something that has personal meaning for you. This is not your mother's word or your spouse's word or your child's word - this is YOUR word.

One little word can have big meaning in your life if you allow yourself to be open to the possibilities. And here's one thing that is totally interesting: sometimes a word will pop into your brain and it will not make any sense to you right now. Give it some time. Let it percolate a bit. I have often found that our hearts speak to us in very unique ways. Maybe this is a word you need to hear but just aren't ready for it yet.

Again, be open to the possibilities."

After reading several posts by people who choose their word each year, I began thinking of what my word would be. After thinking about it, I narrowed it down to two words, and I just can't take it down to one, because they really relate to each other in my circumstances. My words are "focus" and "courage". I need to focus on the things which need to be done to make my dreams come true, rather than just talking about what I need to do. Along with that, I need the courage to do those things, as I have a very strong fear of failure. I didn't sign up for the OLW course she offers, but here's hoping 2011 brings me the focus and courage to take the steps toward my dream!

Do you choose a word? What is YOUR word for 2011?

My word this year would have to be "Live"... because that's what I intend to do. really live.

Wow, that's a tough one, Misty. One word. I really like the two you've chosen.
I think "courage" would have to be mine, too. "Focus" is beyond me, but I like "courage" as in "courage to change the things I can"!
