Playing Deer Games ~ Camera-Critters #162

When I was young, I always loved the game Hide N Seek. I was a good hider, and I was little. So, I could squeeze myself into some very small secret places.

I also loved the magazines that had the pictures with random objects hidden in the picture and you had to find them. I think it was called Hidden Objects, or something like that.

Well, last week, I, with the help of a very special critter friend combined both fun activities.

I don't think she sees me.
This leaf in front of my face really disguises me.

I wish I were more slender.
If only I hadn't eaten that extra pear off her pear tree.

Ummm, I think I better find a better place, cuz
I think she sees me.

Uhhhhh, change of plans, Lady...

Let's play Tag instead, and You're IT!!!

You wouldn't stand a chance playing Tag with a deer, Misty. You'd never be able to jump that fence.
Love your photos!

Great pics, Misty! Deer are really great at playing Hide 'n seek though, aren't they?

I love the last photo with the white tail. German hunters call that Spiegel, mirror.

That's a rare gem, capturing those shots of playing hide and seek with a deer. Lucky you.

Nice shots and a great story. Who won?

I don't know what it is but I always feel such a thrill at seeing a deer. Though we're only about 15 miles from downtown San Francisco, quite often we see deer - though less and less often as civilization encroaches on their grazing area...and, then, sadly, we see them being hit by cars. Still, they do have some protected space by the reservoir ad they like the golf course!!
