Hanging On

(c) Misty DawnS

I've been so busy all weekend that I completely spaced Today's Flowers. I had my photo all ready to go too, but then forgot to do the post. That's O.K. though, because the photo will work for Macro Monday too.

What has kept me so busy, you ask? Well, cleaning. Cleaning the bathroom - sink, toilet, shower, washer, dryer. Cleaning the kitchen - fridge, freezer, stove, oven, microwave. Cleaning the bedroom - closet, dressers, etc. Laundry. Dishes. You see... my step-daughter and her husband are coming to visit!!! WOOT! They are our first "visiting company" we've had since we moved here four and a half years ago!

Is the house ready, you ask? Well... not really, but we're working really hard to get it ready enough for company, as it's still in a major state of construction. Hubs is trying to get the hardwood flooring in the new living room so we can move some furniture in there. Otherwise, Hubs and I will be sleeping in the pop-up camper, and that will be VERY chilly at the end of October! (please cross fingers and anything else and send us well wishes)

Regardless of if everything gets done, it will be a great time. I can't wait to see her! Oh and thanks for asking!

Fingers and toes crossed here, Misty. A pop-up camper would be very very cold and maybe even damp at the end of October. Ouch!

Fantastic macro!! MaRvELOuS!!!!!

It's a beautiful photo - gentle and natural, with the man made fence entangling through. I like the bits of bokeh in the background.

Wonderful macro! Good luck with the company, and hopefully the pop up camper won't be necessary!

Sounds like you have all kinds of things on your plate. Here's hoping to finishing in time to not sleep outside.

What a beautiful macro shot. I have my fingers crossed that you finish on time and don't have to sleep in the camper. That would get a little chilly this late in the year.

Hi there - interesting picture - like the way you have kept the barbed wire in the shot - splendid contrast.

Pop up camper? Don’t they come with fitted bed socks for cold weather?!

The photo works for me! Hope you finish the floor so you can move in out of the cold!

This is really nice. The way the light is shining on the flowers and the contrast of the fence makes for a wonderful macro shot.
Hope your flooring goes in quickly and that you have a wonderful visit with your relatives.

My heart goes out to you in your endeavor to get the house ready in time for the big visit. It sound like its a mammoth job you all are undertaking.I had to grin when your said you might have to go sleep in the camper. Take LOTS of blankets if that end up what you have t do. Will keep my fingers crossed you can stay in the house. Love the end of the yellow blooms. I was amazed to find lots of color still in our garden here in the mountains of VA. It is way toooo late for them here. Hope to post them later this week. genie

Love the photo. And here's to hoping you get a warm bed to sleep in instead of your camper! :)
