Speaking of Holidays

(c) Misty DawnS

My wildflowers are fading and being replaced by leaves on the ground. I can't believe that Halloween is this month, not to mention Christmas is just two months away!

Yep, it's time to start bringing out the cold weather clothes and start thinking about christmas ideas for boyfriends and for whomever else you purchase gifts. To the horror of my office partner, who is Christmas-crazy, Hubs and I don't exchange gifts. With our house being in a constant state of remodel/construction, we put our money towards that rather than gifts. I must admit though, it is fun picking out that perfect gift for someone and then seeing their reaction when they open it.

So, are you one of those people who starts planning for the holidays early? Do you have a very special gift planned for someone? What's on YOUR Christmas list this year?

Yes the time is going by very fast. As we get older it seems that time goes even faster. I enjoy your photos very much, Misty Dawn. I hope you enjoy your Sunday and the rest of the week.

The last several years we have spent Christmas 500 miles away with our eldest son & family, so the only things I do early are my annual Christmas letter and smallish gifts for our 3 sons & their families--None of us spends large amounts of money on Christmas gifts. I put up some decorations, but not a whole lot, since we're usually away from home at Christmas time. Your purple wildflowers are lovely! Have a great week.

Hubs and I get one thing for each other, and we usually establish a $ limit, and keep it low, because yes, we do have TOO many things that need done around the house. I got him the new Xbox Call of Duty video game that came out last year (Black Ops) and that would actually be counter-productive to getting everything done around the house, because then he just sits and plays his new video game.

Call me stupid, huh?! LOL

(Another great pic - I like the focus on the wildflowers with the barn faded in the background.)

I think this article is relevant and helpful. Although i wouldn't recommend some of the gifts for a longterm relationship..
