Un-norm, experiments, gifts, and lots of ellipsis

Well, my last post (the SOOC Sunday post) was very different than anything I normally photograph. My photography subject for this Macro Monday post isn't different from what I normally photograph, but I did decide to experiment a bit with the photograph and turn it into something that is very different from my 'norm'. I guess today I just don't feel like being 'norm'. hehe

Yes, this is something you'd expect to see from me, isn't it?

How bout in black & white?
Yes, different than what I normally do,
but not overly daring...

Ahhhhh, but then I went all crazy!
Turned it into a negative, and I must admit
I really like it!
I think it's way cool!
(Don't worry. I'm still the same Misty you know and love.
Uhhhhh... You do love me, don't you?)

Now let's talk about something else. Picturing these photos hanging on the wall... along with the fact that the holidays are fast approaching (it's already freaking November, People!!!)... along with the fact that my house is actually looking more like a house rather than a construction zone... well, these things have made me think about gifts... more specifically house warming type gifts... and since I'm a big fan of custom and personalized things, I've been thinking about personalized housewarming gifts. By the way, do you think I'm an ellipsis -addict? Hmmm.... something to think about.

Do you own your own house? Did you receive house warming gifts? If so, what was your favorite gift?

What delicacy!!! Very lovely! Cathy

Three great shots. I loved them.

Roberto,Rio de Janeiro.

Kay L. Davies

I love the blue one. Fabulous.
However, all three, mounted, maybe framed, hung together, would look nice.
I don't remember much about housewarming gifts, although this is my severalth place, not counting rentals. All I can think of now is pie or cake or soft chocolate-chip cookies. But no more packages of herbal teas, please. LOL

I like the last one best... crazy is good! Been in the same house for so long I don't remember the housewarming gifts.

Oh, I like them all, but the last one is dreamy!

Ida

How lovely. I like all the versions but I must admit that last one has a wonderful dreamy feel. Well done.

I love these shots. Each one has its own mood and captures something a little different in the flower.

The gifts I have cherished over the years are the ones that connect the giver to me in a meaningful way. They are part of a story.

Kala

I really like the sepia toned one! And I love handmade gifts - they're the best kind.

Hey, I really like that negative effect too, very cool!! And that linky to the personalized housewarming gifts web page has some really neat gifts.

Love all three pics, but my eyes keep coming back to the subtle colours in the original...they are so beautiful.

But looking again, I like the blues in the negative one as well! :-)
