My Life List (Goals, Wishes, & Dreams)

(c) Misty DawnS

Some of the bloggers I admire have created what they refer to as their Life List a.k.a. the list of things they want to do and accomplish during their lifetimes (ya know... a bucket list focused on living). I think this is a fantastic idea, as it is not only fun to create, it also, when you see them in writing, gives you drive to reach for those dreams and goals.

So, quite awhile ago, I started my own life list. I've even accomplished a few of the things on the list prior to putting the list in a blog post. So, without further rambling, which you know I tend to do, here's my list so far (I will occasionally add to and cross things off this list)...

Company on the Porch

My dad made this wolf totem for Hubs and me.
Back in September, I was sitting on the deck,
in my favorite chair, by my wolf totem,
and I felt like I wasn't alone.

The feeling wouldn't go away,
even though I had looked around and realized
no one was home but the dogs and me.
I couldn't shake the feeling I wasn't alone.

Then I realized I, in fact, wasn't alone.

I had company on the porch.

BassBuds: Bling, Style, Control, and Quality

When presented with the opportunity to review a beautiful (read: bling y'all) pair of BassBuds earphones, I thought "Sure, I'll try them."  I must admit that I didn't have very high expectations.  Most in-ear earphones I've tried sound like you've got your head stuck in a tin can.

When the package arrived, I was quite impressed with the packaging.  They came in a beautiful box with a hinged lid, which, when opened provided a host of goodies and caused me to audibly gasp.

 (c) Misty DawnS

Of course, you get the earphones, complete with a microphone and a controller button, both conveniently attached to the cord.  The BassBuds also came with nine sets of noise cancelling shells in various sizes (three white rubber, three black rubber, and three black foam).  There's also a beautiful little bag, with drawstring, to keep it all in.

 (c) Misty DawnS

Each pair has a Swarovski crystal in each ear bud.  Bling!  And, they have an entire catalog full of different color options.  So, you pick your color, you got crystals in your ears, and you are stylin'!

As I mentioned, there's a microphone conveniently attacked to the (very well constructed) cord for answering calls on your phone.  Sweet!  You don't have to take your phone out of your pocket (or wherever you've got it) to answer calls.  The controller is also on the cord, and it provides you with ultimate control.  The only thing that I couldn't do via the controller was adjust the volume.

So, O.K. - great packaging, bling, style, and control, but...
How do they sound???

Ummmm let me just say ... WOWZERS!!!  I felt like I had a surround sound system installed in my ears!  The quality is outstanding.  Music, calls, games... they all sounded amazing.

While I had them plugged into my iPhone, I was listening to the different ringtones, and when I played the "bark" ringtone, Tag jumped up and went running to the door looking for the dog.  They've got awesome sound.  You certainly don't feel like you're in a tin-can with these!

I even tried them in my laptop and listened to some Marina McBride and Bon Jovi.  Now that's what I'm talkin' about!  Once again - The sound quality of the BassBuds is outstanding!  They work on my Nook Tablet too!  I'm thinking maybe I need a pair for each of my devices!

My husband is hard of hearing, and the laptop we got him earlier this year has terrible audio... like even I can barely hear it.  I'm definitely thinking he'll be wanting to borrow these when he's trying to listen to a football game.  Only problem is I'm afraid that once he hears how awesome they are, he's going to try to take them over as his!  Hmmmm maybe I should hide them. :-)

Trust me, you're going to want a pair (or several) of these.  Guess what!  You've come to the right place.  I happen to be able to set you up with a coupon code to get $30.00 OFF!  Woot!

Just go to the BassBuds site and use this code:
Discount code $30.00: BB59768
and don't forget to come back and tell me which color you chose and how amazing your experience was the first time you put them in your ears.

It's the holiday season, after all... treat yourself to something special.
P.S.  Your kids, grandkids, spouse, parents, grandparents, and friends will think you are the best, if you get them a pair of these.

You can thank me later for helping you find an awesome gift. :-)

***I was provided one free pair of BassBuds earphones to review. I reviewed and approved.  All opinions in this post are mine and are my honest opinion of the product.****
