Ready For a Vacation

This year, once the warmer weather arrived, we've had nothing but rain, rain, and more rain... and after that, it rains. :-)  Sure would be nice to pack up the family and head out on a vacation!  When I think of Cancun, I think of, as mentioned in the below article, adult travel.  However, it appears to be fun for the whole family!

Kid-Friendly Activities in Cancun

Cancun is known as a vacation haven for single, young adult travelers. However, the Mexican beach destination is also very family-friendly. From museums to parks and marine activities, those who travel with children will find no shortage of activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Sea Adventure Water Park

Despite being part of Sea Adventure Resort, the water park is actually open to the public. The park features water slides of all sizes and lounge chairs with umbrellas located around the perimeter. The all-inclusive entry fee unlimited food, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, all day. In addition to searching for the best discounts on hotels in Cancun, planning visits to all-inclusive parks like Sea Adventure can be a excellent way to enjoy a full day of activities while saving money. All-inclusive menu items include hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos.

A natural eco-park, Xel-Ha offers families the opportunity to swim in natural sinkholes, explore local marine life, visit Mayan ruins, and participate in a variety of other outdoor activities. Visitors who prefer to relax may do so in a hammock by the sea. A buffet restaurant is located onsite.

Interactive Aquarium

The aquarium is relatively small; therefore, families should plan no more than an hour to see the entire attraction. Despite its size, the venue offers one-of-a-kind experiences like swimming with dolphins and feeding sharks. While an additional fee is charged for shark feeding and the dolphin swim, there are also exhibits which allow attendees to touch manta rays and sea turtles without paying a fee in addition to the price of admission.

Garrafon Reef Park

Families with older kids will enjoy this adventure-packed attraction. Zip-lining, snorkeling, swimming with dolphins, and kayaking are just a few of the available activities. The park is located on Isla Mujeres and includes a boutique, snack bar, and restaurant.

Whether seeking an high-energy getaway for a family of outdoor enthusiasts or looking for a more low key, relaxing holiday, Cancun is an ideal destination for people who wish to travel with children. Furthermore kid-friendly activities around the area are accessible to a broad range of budgets.
