Tear in my Eye Cuz I Miss Pizza Pie

I really, truly, wholeheartedly miss my favorite little pizza shop in Ohio! Friday was pizza day. I'd leave work, order the pizza, pick up step-son, pick up pizza, go home, grab a couple o' slices o' pizza, a beer (no, you don't need to have me commited to alcohol rehab), and just 'chill'.

Here, there is NOwhere to get good pizza. Well, there's a convenince store combination gas station that sells pizza. You'll have to fogive me, but gas station pizza just will NOT compare to the pizza from my beloved little Ohio pizza shop.

I bought pizza from there so often that when we were moving, the owner of the shop came out and said, "Wow! Your Friday night pizza drive is gonna get a lot longer!" When we went back at Christmas to visit - of course we ordered pizza. When I went in to pick up our pizzas, the owner came running out to give me a huge hug. The owner is a fantastic guy and family friend. He even overnight shipped frozen pizzas to my sister-in-law to surprise me and Hubs for our anniversary last year!

Right now... today... I NEED that pizza! No, I'm not pregnant - I'm just stressed, sick, relieved, excited, thankful, worried, overwhelmed, exhausted, and emotional (can ya tell? Nah, I didn't think so). Ho Hum, a fourteen hour pizza drive doesn't sound very inviting right now. Anyone coming this way and going through Ohio? I'll pay ya to bring me pizza!

Hmmmm, maybe we should open a pizza shop! Sure, I don't have anything else to do ;-) Amazing how these great ideas pop up when you least expect them!

Can't Wait!

Happy Holidays

More Free Graphics at pYzam.com

I'm here - I'm here! Just trying to get things done in between laptop meltdowns. Plus, Hubs and I have a lot of preparations to complete before we head back to visit my family for Christmas! A little over a week and I'll be seeing my family and friends!!! WoooooHoooooo

Things that I am very excited about:
1. Gonna see my daddy! I'm gonna see my daddy! Yippee! And my wolf-boyfriend... Yay!!!
2. Gonna see my aunt! WoooooHoooooo
3. Gonna see Aunt & Uncle J and LMQ & LMK! (and LuLu! and, hopefully, LMQ's Bro)!! Oh boy oh boy oh boy
4. I'm also going to see my best friend (other than LMQ & Tammy) and surprise her daughter. Her daughter is in Kindergarten and is always saying "Mommy, I really miss Aunt Misty". The other day, she said "Mommy, I talk to God every night and I ask him to take care of my Aunt Misty because I never get to see her or talk to her anymore." So, we haven't told this sweetheart that I am coming - we are going to surprise her.
5. Get to see my step-daughter... she and I make quite the pair (Yes, she's the one we took to Nashville - there are still many, many stories that I could tell you about that trip). Also going to see my step-son. Probably won't see the oldest step-daughter.
6. I'm also going to see my boss, my cousins, aunts and uncles, friends, old neighbors, and more.
7. The bestest pizza and chip dip and our favoritest restaurant! And, I'm gonna buy a Whopper every time I pass a Burger King! Oh yeah!

There's more... but my laptop is starting to make that funny noise and get real hot... I'll be back in a little while to catch up on everyone's blogs!

All The Places I've Been

Well, honestly, I haven't been much of anywhere. However, my husband has been to quite a few different places.

He has quite a few stories of his experiences in London and other places in Europe. He loves to talk about that particular trip, because it was such a fantastic experience for him. I guess I should be more supportive and listen to the stories more attentively, but since I wasn't there, I really can't envision the things he talks about.

So, I'm going to send him to TrustedPlaces.com. At that site, people can share opinions and reviews of places they have visited. It gets pretty detailed, because you can review any particular place, such as a cafe or a bar. So, my husband could go there and tell all about his travels. He could even do a review of his favorite London restaurant or his favorite bar. Since he was just entering drinking age when he visited Europe, I'm sure he visited several of the pubs and bars.

As for me however, if you are really dying to know what the best restaurant is in Ohio, then I'm your gal!

What A Great Surprise

My sister-in-law asked us to meet her at my mother and father in-law's house tonight. I didn't think much of it, because it is my mother-in-law's birthday.

I knew that she was planning dinner, so I asked what I should bring. She kept telling me that I didn't need to bring anything, which is very unusual. Normally, when we all get together, we all make and bring something to contribute. Finally, she told me that she had wanted to get together and do something for us for our anniversary, and it never worked out, so that I should just let her do this. Well... ok. I'm certainly not going to complain about not having to make anything.

So, we get to my in-law's home and my sister-in-law carries a box in. There's a whole lot of whispering going on in the kitchen, and my husband and I weren't allowed in there. When we were finally allowed in the kitchen, I absolutely couldn't believe it.

You see, there's a little pizza shop back home in Ohio that makes the best pizza I have ever had in my entire life. Every Friday night after work, I would go pick up our pizza on the way home (Yes, EVERY Friday night). The owner of the pizza shop started teasing me that after we moved to this state, my Friday night pizza run was going to get a lot longer!

My sister-in-law and the owner of THAT pizza shop - arranged it so that we could have his pizza here!!! He shipped four pizzas (partially cooked) overnight Fed Ex, so that I and my husband would be surprised! You ain't kiddin' TOTALLY surprised!

Gosh, now I'm stuffed. I brought leftover pizza home with me to eat while I watch the Indians play on TV tomorrow - wooooohooooo It's gonna be a great day!
